I stuck it to my windshield on the inside of my car while I was driving, and it held very well, it keeps it from sliding around and losing the signal.ĭelorme Earthmate GPS LT-20 USB 12-Channel GPS Receiver w/Street Atlas USA 2008 Software The suction cup part is useful to help stick it places so it won’t slide around. The LT-20 unit itself is small, measuring in at 2.7 x 1.75 x 0.5 inches and it has a five foot cord along with a suction cup to help keep it in place. It seems mostly tweaks and a few upgrades to functionality, but nothing major really. I also looked at the new Street Atlas 2009 and it doesn’t seem any different, at least in the screenshots I saw. You might say that the software is old, being dated 2008, but as soon as I installed it and checked for updates all of the maps were updated for me, so even though it’s 2008, it does use the current maps. Includes with it is Street Atlas 2008, and a user manual. The Delorme Earthmate LT-20 comes in a nice little box, that is actually two boxes, a cardboard one and a plastic one inside of that. OCZ Neutrino netbook and took it for a spin, read on to learn all about it… Considering netbooks are so small, they can easily be used as GPS devices to help you find your way, or to just get directions while you’re on the go.

Most netbooks and laptops today don’t have GPS integrated into them, and getting while one may argue why would you need it, it’s still a nice feature to have. The laptop one I have works well, but it requires an adapter since it’s a CF card format, but it can also be used with a PDA equipped with CF slot for true portability, which is a nice feature. I have two GPS units myself, one in my phone and an older one for my laptop that connects via CF Card slot. There’s no doubt that GPS has become extremely popular, it seems everyone is using it. I hope this information helps someone with similar issues.Īlso. "VM is doing something absolutely right because now I can operate my GPS routing and mapping via DeLorme in VM Ware Fusion without having to restart and change operating systems. (Update) I just finished installing beta 4 and everything works perfectly. (I am using an Apple Wireless BT Mighty Mouse)

This will give you the ability to quickly switch assignment of your mouse to both environments, and you can turn "ON" Apple control of the bluetooth equipment and the mouse and blue logger can then be accessed by SA.

Remember this: "I say all of this because I have heard rumors that SA would not operate in a virtual environment."Īnother tip is to install the VM Ware Tools. I made sure to install my Blue Logger and my Mighty Mouse in Windows, and after installing SA I tested it and it worked perfectly. I installed DeLorme SA 2008 from a DVD, and updated it from SA 2007 to SA 2008 (DVD). I replaced all of the map, and draw files and any GPS logs I wanted to save and copied them to their respective places in the corresponding new folder after the total reinstall. After completely removing 2007, I installed SA 2008. I deleted (removed) SA 2007 but kept my temporarily renamed Delorme Docs folder.

I have been a beta tester for VM Fusion since around December, 2006 and have tried many solutions to the GPS software dilemna faced by us Mac users.
